FROM MARK
Following last month’s IA retreat in the California desert, we cleared the sand from our eyes (and elsewhere) to focus on our 20th year of large-scale transformation. Having guided organizations through some of their most complex initiatives, we have been very intentional about not overstaying our welcome, instead focusing intently on knowledge transfer and client autonomy.
With most organizations that has worked flawlessly, but as of late we’ve noticed that finding qualified program and project management resources to execute on these outputs is a game of needles and haystacks. We aren’t big fans of hay fever, so we decided to jump into the needle business.
To lead IA’s expansion into “PMaaS” (say that three times fast), we’ve welcomed Sammye Walton as our new Director of Program Management. Sammye brings a wealth of experience and a passion for turning complex plans into tangible results, and as a two-time client, she was already part of the IA family. You’ll likely meet her soon. Please join me in welcoming Sammye to the team!
This mindful expansion reflects our core philosophy at IA. We’re never content to rest on our laurels, and we’re constantly looking for ways to evolve, improve, and better serve the changing needs of our clients and their employees. Program management represents not only the next step in our journey, but the advancement of yours.
Now, where are my allergy pills?

the art of the possible
Ideal future state design is about embracing the art of the possible. Not every ideal future state will be realized. Sometimes it can take years to get there, sometimes it never happens at all. What’s important is breaking the cycle of repetition that drove the need for transformation in the first place. Resistance is better than silence. Encourage debate. Question the status quo. Unlock imagination. It just may be the difference between talking about change and actually implementing it.
